It's that time...

Lots of random news, here we go.

I had a super weekend in South Padre this past holiday. We were camping, went to Schlitterbahn on the Beach, and even surfed on boogie boards. A blast, and none of us wanted to leave.

Yesterday I was off of work with severe shoulder pain, and was home today by noon. Think childbirth without drugs. Now double it. Seriously hurt. I was driven to the clinic, had x-rays, and was told it's repetitive strain in my trapezius from being on the computer 10 hours a day. I was prescribed muscle relaxers and told to change my work habits or find a new career. Kinda late in the game for the last suggestion. Oh my... I already spoke to the IT department about getting me ergonomic equipment. I should be hooked up soon.

UPS delivered a next day air package this afternoon that contained a binder full of marketing materials from the company I'm exploring employment with (note to self: check out their ergonomic work habits). They wanted me to get a complete feel for where they are, but I see it as a way to tell them where I can take them. I was in a pain pill induced state when the box arrived, and haven't really spent more then 3 minutes looking at it. Add that to my "to do" list for manana.

This Friday, the three of us will once again be extras for Friday Night Lights. It's a really fun family activity and they take good care of us on set. Mr. Second Grader is saving his appearance money for a Nintendo DS. I haven't done the research on this latest gadget, and it all started because so-and-so in his class has one. Peer pressure already? Good grief.

Lastly, this is post #99, and it's that time! I'm keeping my promise (from months ago) to give away chocolates for post #100. I know I have millions of readers who are just too shy to ever post a comment, so this is your chance to be in the limelight. When I receive 10 comments, I'll choose a winner. It's a 1 in 10 chance, so tell your friends and perhaps they'll share! I'll have to pick some up for me too...
